Upscaling results from 480i content and other interlaced format are slightly less appeasing and albeit the image will still be more than reasonable the conversion isn’t as good. The 40W has a variety of tweakable options allowing customization of Brightness, Contract, Colour, Backlight and also much welcome control over the amount of Overscan in order to reach maximum image quality. The 40W comes equipped with all the connectors we come to expect from a High-Def device including two HDMI ports, sadly however there is only one Component connector providing poor backward support for people with devices that still utilize this connection. The 40W also has a built in Digital Tuner eliminating the need for a dedicated decoder box; however, the quality of this Tuner doesn’t come in par with that of other dedicated decoders. Minimize
