As can be derived from then name the Bravia KDL-40X2000 is a 40 inch LCD TV belonging to Sony's top of the line series. Which means it is equipped with Sony's superb image enhancing Technology known as "EX Bravia Engine" and has very stylish sleek design common to High-End Sony products. Like all models of the W and X Bravia series this TV supports Full-HD with a maximum resolution of 1080p and thanks to the EX Bravia engine both content originally designed to be viewed at HD and content upscaled to HD resolutions look superb with quality which transcends that of competing products. In particular True HD content is fully reproduced pixel to pixel on the screen with reliable extremely sharp colors and even the darker black portions of the image which tend to be a weakness of most LCD TVs are very reliably reproduced, clearly the strong point of the 40X is work with high definition content and this where it truly excels. Upon starting to work with this excellent LCD TV you will need to make some adjustments to the default factory presets which are thankfully all easily accessible via the remote control and shouldn't be difficult for the average user to configure in order to maximize the potential of this TV. The excellent viewing experience is enhanced by an impressive sound system with powerful bass which remains solid even at higher volumes. Overall this is an excellent product for users which view a lot of HD content but might be overkill for the more modest consumer.
