The R87, as we will call it here, is a 32 inch widescreen LCD TV which combines several very appealing feature. Being a 720p HD display there is no support for the higher quality 1080p standard but this is not really an issue since on displays of this size the difference is unnoticeable. As far as image quality and customization options go the TV offers control and adjustment of just about all parameters from backlight and colour to white balance and sharpness which we highly recommend adjusting for optimal results as the factory presets are far from ideal. After proper configuration the display provides a crisp sharp image especially when watching real HD content but also when upscaling normal definition to HD resolution. Albeit being a handy feature the performance of the built in Freeview tuner is acceptable but still inferior to other dedicated tuners. Overall, with good picture quality and a bright, clear screen the R87 is for the most part a pleasure to watch. Minimize
