The Orange SPV M3100 Smart-Phone features a stylish modern design. Weighing just 178g the M3100 is also no imposition. Located at the front there is a fine 2.8 inch, 240x320 display and at the top right there's a small camera for video calls. Beneath the display are the controls, a navigation pad is sided by Call, End, OK and Windows buttons, a video call button is also available which is nice addition. Above the display there are two additional buttons for launching your browser and E-mail software. Control is all around convenient. Connectivity wise the M3100 is very extensive; not only is it a 3G device, but it also supports HSDPA. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and mini-USB connectivity are all included. On the downside headset connectivity is possible only via the USB connector which is also used for recharging, which is a tad annoying. As far as memory goes, you get 64MB of RAM and 128MB of flash storage which can be extended via a microSD card. At the back there is a 2mp camera which offers decent Image quality although colour accuracy is mediocre. As this device uses Windows Mobile you get the usual software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Media Player. The keyboard of the M3100 is a bit small and the quality of use really depends mostly on the size of your hands and their dexterity. It is however in most cases usable and convenient once you're used to it. Overall the M3100 offers excellent functionality making it one of the better mobile devices on the market.
