The front-loaded paper trays offer simultaneous loading of up to 100 sheets of A4 paper and around 20, 10 x 15cm photo blanks In order to provide top quality Photo prints the D7160 uses a six ink cartridge mechanism, including light cyan and light magenta, all cartridges are easily installed and replaced. Print times were a little slow sadly even for a photo printer, regular text print speed being just under 5.5ppm and colour being even lower at about 3.3 ppm. A 15 x 10cm photo print took just under a minute from a PC but is doubled when printing directly from an SD card or a camera. Cost-wise an average text page costs approx 1.33p while an A4 sized photo is about 53.7p. Print quality is generally good as text is dense and well defined with very little blemishes; colour graphics are smooth and have good tone gradation and most importantly when it comes to photo prints the results are top-notch.
